EP25: The Thrombosis Awareness Library: Knowledge Whenever You Need It

To mark World Thrombosis Day 2026, we are proud to introduce the Thrombosis Awareness Library, a podcast collection designed to make thrombosis education more accessible than ever. Explore all episodes on your favorite podcast platform!

At Werfen, we are committed to providing educational content on thrombosis with the goal of increasing awareness and ultimately supporting better patient outcomes. As this interesting field continues to evolve, healthcare professionals need access to reliable, practical, and up-to-date resources to stay informed about its many clinical implications. However, knowledge is most valuable when it is accessible. That is why we are pleased to introduce the Thrombosis Awareness Library, a dedicated audio collection bringing together all past and future episodes of our Thrombosis Awareness series in a convenient podcast format.

The Path to Today's Collection

Over the past two years, the Thrombosis Awareness series has explored a wide range of topics spanning venous and arterial thrombosis, rare thrombotic disorders, risk factors, diagnostic challenges, and emerging clinical insights. From foundational concepts and prevention strategies to discussions on conditions such as May-Thurner Syndrome, Post-Thrombotic Syndrome, Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Portal Vein Thrombosis, and many others, each episode has been designed to deliver concise, practical, and evidence-based information.

Impact of Sepsis on Thrombosis

In patients with sepsis, coagulation pathways are frequently activated, promoting a prothrombotic state that may contribute to clot development and worsen disease severity and clinical outcomes. Coagulation abnormalities can range from mild thrombocytopenia and subtle clotting disturbances to severe disseminated intravascular coagulation.

One Library, Endless Learning Opportunities

The Thrombosis Awareness Library brings all this content together in a convenient audio format, allowing healthcare professionals to learn whenever and wherever it suits them best. Whether during a commute, between meetings, or while multitasking throughout the day, listeners can access valuable educational information without needing dedicated reading time. The library also offers a unique opportunity to revisit previous episodes or discover topics that may have been missed. Past and future episodes will be available in a single location, and users will be able to explore them at their own pace and build a broader understanding of the many factors that influence thrombotic disease and patient management.

More Knowledge, More Awareness, More Impact

As awareness remains one of the most effective tools in improving the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of thrombosis-related conditions, the Thrombosis Awareness Library represents an important step in making education more accessible, flexible, and engaging. But the story doesn't end here. New episodes will continue to enrich the collection, bringing fresh perspectives and emerging clinical insights, and new opportunities to keep the conversation on thrombosis awareness alive.
